Once more than one field has been configured for a project, order, etc., you may change the display order for these fields when viewing the information or making changes within the system. For example, let's say you have three additional custom fields for projects that include:
- Mobile Number
- Contact Hours
- Contact Name
If the order is not changed for these fields in projects, then they will appear in the order they are entered into the custom field configuration. However, it might be more feasible to flip the hours and contact name.
To do so, you will need to access the custom fields settings by going to Settings > General Settings > Custom Fields and clicking on Configure. Then click on the location of the custom field (in this case Projects). Then use the Up and Down arrows underneath the Display Order column to change the position of these items
For this example, the Contact Name field will need to be moved up one by clicking on the Up Arrow for that field in the list.
Once this has been done, the field will appear as shown below when viewing a project (i.e. or custom fields in another area of the system).
