NEW [Quotes] Canceling quotes when canceling projects

You can now set client and/or supplier quotes to be canceled automatically when the corresponding project is canceled.

Settings > Customization > Invoicing > Invoicing Processes > Configure > Client (or Supplier) Quotes

Invoicing, Workflows, Translators, Administrators - WM-8853

NEW [Quotes and invoices] Project status displayed in list

If you have permission to view projects, you can now view a new, ‘Project Status’ column in the list of client quotes and invoices.

Clients > Invoices > Client Quotes & Invoices

Invoicing, Administrators - WM-8854

NEW [Parsers] Translating .pdf files, scanned from paper

When you upload for translation a .pdf file that does not contain extractable text (for example, a .pdf scan from paper), you can now choose to create a number of empty segments in the editor. Translators can view the source file and enter translations in the editor, in the empty segments.

Settings > Customization > Translation Settings > Document Formats > PDF files > [Select a configuration] > General > Content > Create empty segments

File Formats, Administrators - WM-7799

IMPROVED [Wordcount] Counting repetitions separately from matches (for invoicing, etc.)

In processes that involve itemized word counts, for example, job pricing, work scheduling, or pre-translation quality assessment, you can now count segment repetitions as a separate category from segment matches. (Repetitions are segments that are repeated within the source document or other project documents; matches are segments that match previously translated segments in a translation memory.)

Settings > Customization > Translation Settings > Word Counting > Configure > [Select a word count profile] > Segment similarity when searching project resources

WordCount, Project Managers - WM-4670

IMPROVED [CoDyt workflow] - Stop automatic workflow completion when all jobs are canceled

If all jobs in a workflow are canceled, so too are all automated workflow completion operations (for example, the creation of translated files, the consolidation of translations in the master memory, and the copying of translated files to the client order). This improvement avoids consolidation of empty segments in the memory.

Related to the following setting: Settings > Customization > Project and Work Processes > Workflow Templates > Configure > [Select a Codyt profile] > Workflow > Workflow completion

Workflows, Project Managers - WM-9171

IMPROVED [Clients] Default user profiles

When you add a new user from your own company or from a client’s company, the default user profile is now ‘Inhouse client’ or ‘External client’ respectively.

Clients > [Select a client] > People & Logins > Add new > Account > Create a login for this person or contact > User profile

Login Management, Project Managers, Administrators - WM-8999

IMPROVED [Standard jobs] Changing job status

If you change the status of a standard job from ‘Completed’ to ‘In progress,’ the statuses of all documents in the job now also change to ‘In progress.’ Similarly, if you change the job status to ‘Not started,’ the document statuses also change to ‘Not started.’

Jobs > Standard jobs > [Select a job] > Job details > Status and organization > Status > More… > Change to ‘In progress’

Job Management, Translators, Project Managers - WM-9371

FIX [Editor] Bold, italic, etc. formatting in preview and finalized document

Text formats, such as bold, italics, subscripts, and superscripts, in the target-language columns of the editor are now correctly applied in previews and finalized documents.

Editor, Translators - WM-8765

FIX [Editor] Notifying suppliers about comments

In the editor, when you want to notify suppliers about a segment comment, the list of suppliers that you can select from now contains only those who are assigned to the document.

Editor > Timeline widget > [a comment] > Bell icon (‘notify by e-mail’) > ‘Notify users’ window > Select

Editor, Project Managers - WM-9320

FIX [Editor] Translating Adobe FrameMaker files

Translations of text from an embedded table in an Adobe FrameMaker file are now correctly included in the finalized, translated file.

File Formats, Project Managers, Clients - WM-8902

FIX [Editor] – QA checks on date ranges

The QA check now correctly finds a date when a segment contains a date range.
Example: 24-31/12/2021

QA, Translators, Project Managers - WM-5701

FIX [Editor] Searching for empty segments

On the editor search bar, the empty segment filter now correctly finds all empty segments for the selected language.

Editor > [Search bar] > [Down arrow] > Find text [down arrow] > Empty

Search Bar, Translators, Project Managers - WM-8912

FIX [Editor] Autosaving last segment on page

When autosave is enabled, and you use the shortcut (by default, Ctrl+Enter) to switch the status of the last segment on the page to green and to go to the first segment on the next page, the last segment is now correctly saved.

Related to settings: (1) Editor > Gear icon > Shortcuts; (2) Editor > Disk (save) icon > Autosave

Editor, Translators - WM-9300

FIX [Editor] Logging in with SSO

When single sign-on (SSO) authentication is enabled, the editor log-in screen is now correctly displayed.

Editor, Translators, Project Managers - WM-8881

FIX [Editor] Clearing all segment information

In the editor, when you select ‘Clear all segment information’ and select a language, all segment information for that language is cleared, except information about repetitions (which used to be cleared also).

Editor > Actions > Language actions > Clear all segment information

Editor, Translators, Project Managers, Administrators, Freelancers - WM-9061

FIX [Filters] Configuring JSON version 2 filters

When you configure a JSON (version 2) filter, you can now correctly add translation nodes to any selector; specify the content format as plain text, HTML, or encoded HTML; and remove selectors.

Settings > Customization > Translation Settings > Document Formats > JSON files > [Select a configuration] > (a version 2 configuration) > Edit > Translatable content

File Formats, Project Managers - WM-9091
