Strings Editor

The Strings Editor is a web-based tool that gives project managers full visibility and control over multilingual content. Designed with read-only safety features, it provides a centralized environment to view, filter, and manage content across languages without risking accidental edits.

Key Features

  • Read-Only Grid Interface
Display source and translated content in a structured table. All content is locked for editing to protect data integrity.

  • Overview Panel
Access detailed metadata and history for each string via three dedicated tabs:

    • Properties: View language- and segment-level data.

    • Comments: Read-only translation notes with filters.

    • Revision History: Monitor changes over time, including tags and filters.

  • Fields Panel
Customize your view by adding, removing, or reordering columns. Toggle visibility for languages, metadata, and other relevant fields.

  • Filters Panel
Use filters across all columns, including status, comments, QA flags, and labels, to narrow down the data you want to review or export.

  • Advanced Import & Export
Import new or modified files in .XLSX, .XML, .JSON, and .POT format. Export filtered string data for offline editing or translation workflows, and re-import with automatic segment matching.

  • Import Logging
Each import is traceable via transaction IDs, summary, and detailed logs. This makes audits easier and ensures quality assurance is traceable.
