What is a CoDyt Project?
CoDyt stands for Continuous and Dynamic Translation. It is specific to Wordbee Translator and provides a way to automate every portion of a project's workflow from creation, to job assignment, to order completion.
While not appropriate for large documents and jobs entailing a one-time translation, revision, etc., CoDyt projects may be used to pre-configure the workflow in advance for dynamic content such as a catalog, website, or another item that frequently changes.
CoDyt projects provide the opportunity to configure your project workflow in advance. This is done by creating a workflow template in the administration settings, which can then be selected for any new Codyt project.
When configured, the workflow template is used to start the process automatically (i.e. uploaded files are word counted, jobs are created and proposed or assigned, etc.).
Benefits
For example, let's say you have a workflow that includes Translation + Revision + Proofreading. Without using a CoDyt project, the workflow will have to be configured manually at the time of ordering and monitored as such.
However, by using CoDyt, the project and jobs will be taken care of automatically based on a pre-configured workflow, whether ordered externally through the client portal or entered by an internal user, such as the project manager.
CoDyt projects offer the following benefits for dynamic content:
Faster Delivery Times
Reduced Management per Task
Reduced Costs
Lower Risk of Human Error
Automated Project Lifecycle
Increased Transparency
Using a CoDyt project allows the project manager to easily monitor the progress of the project with little to no manual intervention and the same workflow will be used each time content changes require new translations, revisions, proofreading, and so on. When set up appropriately, you can expect the following:
Automated Setup of Source and Target Documents - Each document is assigned a workflow to automate the entire translation process. Uploaded revisions are automatically assigned to the appropriate translation workflow and resources.
Translation Memory is Multi-Directional - Any defined language in the scope of the project may be used as the source and this is useful when changes are made by experts in that language or in the market.
Deadlines are Calculated Automatically - Deadlines are calculated based on the capabilities of suppliers in the system by taking into consideration the number of hours or words they are able to handle and their current schedule.
Automatic Translator Assignment - Based on the configured translation workflow, jobs can be assigned for documents and other processes to ensure they reach the appropriate person or supplier. This also supports crowdsourcing and provides the ability to perform automatic cost calculations based on current rates within the system.
Support for Mid-Cycle Content Revisions & Document Uploads - If the source or target content must be revised in the middle of a project, it is automatically flagged for review by the translator without requiring any further actions.
Additionally, jobs are kicked off automatically in the system to provide beneficial automation for this traditional, time-consuming manager function.
