Activation of branches

The “branch” property can be set freely when you push segments into a Flex container.

However, the Editor and TMS does not unlock all branching features unless they are activated.

Checking if branching is enabled

• Call this API method with the Flex container ID: apps/wbflex/documents/{id}/short

• See the hasBranching and hasBranchPropagation properties and their explanation.

Enable or disable branching in a project

• Go to the project of the Flex container and navigate to the “Workflow & Suppliers” page.

• Select the “Flex” tab.

• Enable the branching options.

Enable branch propagation in your platform

How changes are propagated across branches strongly depends on your specific requirements and workflows. That is why this feature is script based. You can define the direction of propagation, what and when data shall be propagated, whether meta-data should be set and so on. The sky is the limit. Please reach out to the Wordbee Solutions Team.
