New Readable AI Category Names in the Current Editor's QA Panel

In the current editor, QA issues raised by the automatic AI check now appear in the QA panel with readable names such as AI Addition, AI Omission, and AI Terminology, instead of meaningless rule numbers. This makes it easier to recognize at a glance what each AI finding is about.

Editor, QA, Translators, Project Managers - WM-25607

New Enforce Single Sign-On for Selected User Profiles

A new Enforce SSO access right, under a new Advanced Security group in the user-profile editor, lets administrators require that certain users sign in only through the platform's Single Sign-On provider. When the right is enabled on a profile, password sign-in is refused for everyone assigned to that profile and they are directed to SSO instead, so corporate employees can be required to use SSO while freelancers on a different profile keep password access. The right is off by default and has no effect unless SSO is configured, so existing users and profiles are unaffected. SSO sign-in and API-key access remain available, and a locked-out user can always be recovered by reassigning their profile. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/how-to-manage-the-access-rights-in-specific-scenar

SSO, Administrators - WM-25642

New Make a Workflow Step Drive the Global Segment Status

Project managers can now make a specific workflow step responsible for the project-level (global) segment status. When the new "Save segment status to the global segment status" option is enabled on a step in Workflow & Suppliers, every segment status change made in a job built on that step, whether set by hand or by a QA check, is saved straight to the global status without waiting for the workflow to finish or for a separate project-level QA pass. The option is set per project, is off by default, and appears only when independent segment status per job is enabled. It works in both Standard and Codyt projects. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/how-linguists-track-their-own-progress-per-job

Editor, Job Management, Jobs, Translators - WM-25582

New View Edit Distance for Standard and Codyt Jobs

Completed Standard and Codyt jobs now show an edit distance figure, a percentage indicating how much the translation text was changed during the job. It appears as a new "Edit distance" row in the job word-count popup. The measurement looks only at the words and ignores formatting tags, so adjusting tags without changing the text counts as no edit. The figure applies to jobs whose segments are edited after this update and can take up to an hour to appear once a job is completed. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/job-edit-distance

elastic, Job Management, Project Managers - WM-25521

New New QA Rule to Detect Unpaired Brackets and Quotes

A new built-in QA rule, "Punctuation - Brackets and quotes," flags translations where brackets, parentheses, or quotes are left unpaired, or where their number differs from the source. Administrators enable it in a QA profile, choose which pair types to check (such as parentheses, square brackets, curly braces, and various quote styles), and can add exception patterns so intended cases like numbered list markers are ignored. The rule is off by default in existing profiles. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/qa-categories

QA, Project Managers - WM-25587

New Search, Filters, and Dependency View Added to the Access Rights Page

The Access Rights page, where administrators configure what each user profile is allowed to do, is now easier to scan across its many permissions. A new search box and filter bar let you find rights by code, name, or description and narrow the list by license, enabled or disabled state, or which values differ from the profile default. The table now includes an at-a-glance State indicator, a dedicated License type column, and a new Dependencies column showing which rights a permission requires or relates to. This is a presentation refresh only: no permission is added, removed, renamed, or changed in behavior. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/access-rights

Access-Rights, Administrators - WM-25245

New Show a Segment-Status Progress Bar in Jobs Pages

A new Progress column now appears by default on the Jobs and Items grids in both Standard and Codyt projects, showing each job's segments split into red, approved, translated, and untranslated parts with a percentage approved label. Hovering reveals the totals and how recently the figures were updated, clicking opens the existing Counts and Activity view, and a refresh icon lets you recompute a single job on demand. The column can be hidden or reordered like any other and is visible to everyone who already sees the Counts and Activity tooltip. Jobs with no stored figures show an empty bar with the refresh option, and jobs with no segments to track show N/A. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/jobs-main-page

sql, wbt, Project Managers, Clients, Administrators - WM-25803

Improved Create Large Multi-File API Orders Without Timeouts

Creating an order through the API with many files in a single upload now responds almost immediately and registers the files in the background, instead of processing every file while the request waits. This prevents timeouts on high-volume orders, such as batches of dozens of files, and keeps the response time roughly constant no matter how many files are submitted. Integrators should note that file-validation problems (too many files, a file too big, or an unsupported format) are now reported as a failed operation status that the integration polls for, rather than as an immediate error in the response.

API, Administrators - WM-25781

Improved Preview Word Counts in the Job Assignment Wizard for Standard Projects

When you create and assign jobs in a Standard project, the assignment wizard now includes a Counts column for every job. Click the word-count icon to open the same word-count popup used on the jobs list and review words, characters, segments, pages, and more without leaving the wizard. The options at the bottom of the wizard were also simplified into a cleaner two-column layout, and the proposals row is now labelled Propose jobs now. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/create-and-assign-jobs

Job Management, Administrators - WM-25437

Improved AI Workflow Failures Now Show Clear Error Messages in Job Traces

When a machine translation, quality check, or automated post-editing AI workflow fails, the job trace now shows a readable, actionable error message (for example an authentication or rate-limit problem) instead of cryptic technical output, along with identifiers that help support trace the issue. Project managers can now understand and act on these failures directly. Failures of post-editing workflows assigned to a supplier, which were previously silent, now appear as job messages.

AI, Editor, Machine Translation, QA, Project Managers - WM-24401

Improved Faster Manager Search in Order Form Configuration

The Manager and Project Manager fields on the Order form configuration page now use a fast search that finds matching managers by first or last name as you type, instead of loading the full user list. The currently saved manager still appears instantly. For companies with more than 30 internal users, these fields now show only users who hold a Manager license, matching the field label.

wbt, Translators - WM-25537

Fix Import XLIFF Files When the File Target Language Differs From the Selected Target

Marking an XLIFF version 1 file online could fail when the file's declared target language did not match the target language selected for the project. These files are now accepted, matching how XLIFF version 2 files already behave, so you can import them without an error. The output target language is still determined during reconstruction as before.

Parsers, Translators - WM-25753

Fix Preserve Non-Colored Text at Cell and Paragraph Boundaries When Translating Only Selected Colors

In Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files set up to translate only text in specific colors, non-colored text at the very start or end of a cell or paragraph could previously be dropped from the translated document when it sat next to colored translatable text. This text is now kept: it appears in the translation editor as a protected tag and is restored in the correct position when the translated file is generated. The fix applies to documents uploaded from this release onward; previously uploaded documents keep their existing segmentation.

wbt, Project Managers - WM-25603

Fix Apply SRX Tab Rules to Word Tables of Contents, Bullets, and InDesign Files

Segmentation rules that break a segment at a tab character now work for Word tables of contents and bullet points, and for InDesign (IDML) content, where they were previously ignored. To keep existing jobs consistent, this behavior applies to documents parsed under the new parser version; documents parsed under the earlier version are unaffected. Because segment boundaries can change for newly parsed documents, existing translation memory matches may shift for affected files.

Parsers, Project Managers, Administrators - WM-25539

Fix Fix the Find Projects Page for Users Without Order ID Access

The Find Projects page could appear empty and stop working for users who are not allowed to see order IDs, so the project list never loaded. The page now loads correctly for these users, the order ID filter stays hidden as expected, and the target language filter remains available to everyone.

wbt, Translators, Project Managers - WM-25524

Fix Large AI Translation Jobs No Longer Fail Due to API Rate Limits

Large documents processed through AI workflows such as machine translation, automated post-editing, and quality checks could previously fail partway through, because the internal calls these workflows make to fetch translation memory and terminology matches counted against an hourly API call limit. Those internal calls are now exempt from the limit, so large AI jobs complete reliably and several can run at the same time. There is no change to how you work, and normal API usage stays protected by the same limits as before.

Wordbee Website, Translators, Project Managers - WM-26023

Fix Multilingual Excel Files Now Download Correctly When a Sheet Has No Language Columns

Multilingual Excel files set up with automatic language-column detection could fail to download with an error when one of the sheets had no recognizable language columns and sat before a valid sheet. These files now download correctly, and any sheet without language columns is preserved unchanged.

Parsers, Project Managers - WM-25598

Fix Source Text Now Shown for Untranslated Cells in Multilingual Excel Preview and Download

The "Show source text if translation is missing" option now works for multilingual Excel files, just as it already does for Word, PowerPoint, and single-language Excel. When the option is on, empty cells in the language being previewed or exported fall back to the source text, while the other language columns stay unchanged.

Parsers, Project Managers - WM-25595

Fix Fix Internal Error When Loading Order Form Settings via the API

The API call that retrieves order form settings could return a generic internal error for every form in an account when a workflow template still referenced a task code that had been deleted or renamed. The call now skips these outdated references cleanly and returns the order form's configuration as expected. The Order Forms screen in the interface was never affected.

API, Project Managers - WM-25580

Fix Add Resource Popup Now Opens With Project Memories Unticked to Prevent Timeouts

When attaching a resource to a project, the Add resource popup now opens with the "Project memories" filter unticked, so by default it loads only translation memories and terminology databases and opens quickly. On very large accounts, loading all resource types at once could previously make the popup slow or fail. You can still tick "Project memories" on demand. This applies to both Standard and Codyt projects.

New Automatic Company Moves for SSO Users

If you use SSO, Wordbee can now keep its user accounts aligned with your Identity Provider automatically. When a person is moved to a different company in your directory, the change flows into Wordbee on their next sign-in: the old account is deactivated, a new one is created under the new company, and the move is recorded in the event log for auditing. The user keeps signing in as usual, with no manual admin step required. Available on request; contact Wordbee to turn it on.

Security, SSO, Administrators - WM-25238

New Linguists Can Now Track Their Own Progress per Job

Translators and reviewers can now follow their own validation progress directly in each job, without interfering with other people working on the same segments. Today, segment status is shared across the entire workflow; with this feature on, every linguist keeps a private view per job while managers continue to rely on the shared overall status. The feature is off by default. Contact Wordbee to switch it on. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/how-linguists-track-their-own-progress-per-job

Editor, Job Management, Jobs, Translators, Project Managers, Clients - WM-24025

New Oversight Reports for Jobs and File QA, Plus Order and Supplier Rate Extensions

Two new Excel reports are now available in Business Reports for users with the Manager profile. The Oversight Report (Jobs category) lists one row per job with its full status history, the suppliers who declined it, the assigned supplier's last login, and project custom fields. The File QA Oversight Per Language report (Quality category) lists one row per file and target language showing whether a QA check was ever run, when, and by which suppliers. Two existing reports gain optional new data columns: S410 can now expose supplier rates, quote unit counts, currency, service, and pricelist; S300 can now expose the date an order first reached Results Approved status along with the elapsed time from order received and from proposal accepted. The S300 and S410 extensions are off by default at the template level. Tenants who want the new columns must customize their own report templates via Reports > Customize. Existing report outputs are unchanged for any user who does not customize their template, and historical orders already approved at the time of release will show blank values in the new S300 columns. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/report-s300-client-orders and https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/report-s410-jobs-counts-costs

Reports, Project Managers, Clients, Administrators - WM-24835

Improved Terminology Lookup Returns Hits Regardless of First-Letter Casing

Terminology lookups in the Editor now return matching termbase entries regardless of whether the searched text starts with an uppercase or lowercase letter. Translators no longer miss approved terminology when working on headings, titles, or content where capitalization differs from how the term is stored in the termbase.

Editor, Translators, Project Managers - WM-24696

Improved Typed Controls and Defaults for AI Flow Parameters

The Machine Translation connector, QA AI Analysis rule, and Pricelist Service AI Agent screens now render each AI flow parameter with the appropriate input (numeric spinner, dropdown, multi-select, checkbox, password, textarea, or text) instead of a plain text box. These parameters let administrators fine-tune AI behavior, for example by editing the custom prompt, choosing which content the AI should not process, and controlling which translation memory and termbase matches are sent to the AI as reference (such as 100% matches only or 90% and above, with or without unapproved entries). Each parameter is preceded by an override checkbox. When left unticked, the field displays the recommended default declared by the flow (read-only) and is applied at execution time, so default updates in future releases flow through automatically to non-customized configurations. When ticked, admins enter their own value with inline per-type validation. Mandatory fields keep the override locked on, password fields are masked and never carry defaults, and parameters without a declared field type continue to behave as today's plain text box, so existing configurations keep loading and saving unchanged.

AI, Project Managers, Administrators - WM-25221

Improved Report S410 Now Hides Order ID for Cancelled Orders on Codyt Jobs

In Report S410 (Jobs, Counts & Costs), the Order ID column on Codyt project rows is now left blank when the job's linked order has been cancelled. Previously the cancelled order's ID was still shown. This brings Codyt rows in line with Standard rows, which already hide the Order ID after cancellation. No action is required from users. The change is visible the next time S410 is generated. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/report-s410-jobs-counts-costs

wbt, Project Managers, Clients, Administrators - WM-25088

Improved Supplier Services Grid Column Relabeled to "Rating & Comments"

The column in the supplier pricelist services grid (Suppliers > Prices) and in the Services block of a person's account page previously labeled "Comments" has been renamed to "Rating & Comments". The column already displayed both the supplier rating (stars) and the free-text comment, but the old header was misleading. Sort behavior and column content are unchanged.

Wordbee Website, Project Managers - WM-24503

Improved Add Service Rating to Static Supplier Group Members

The member list of static supplier groups now shows the service Rating, matching the dynamic supplier group layout. This makes it easier to compare supplier quality at a glance across both group types. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/suppliers-groups

Supplier Management, Project Managers - WM-24504

Improved Per-Project Overrides for Supplier Invoice Status Sync and Visibility

This release adds two per-project workflow settings on the Cost calculation tab of Standard projects: Synchronize job and invoice/quote status, and Initial visibility for created supplier invoices. Project managers can now override the global status-sync rule and per-supplier-company default cost visibility on a single project. The Job Proposal wizard gains a pre-selected Project default option in its publication picker that defers per row to the project setting or the supplier company default. Defaults preserve existing behavior for every project and no database migration is required. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/supplier-invoices-for-standard-projects

Invoicing, Project Managers - WM-25201

Improved Standardize Editor-Opening Labels to "Open Editor" Across Jobs and Projects

Editor links across Standard project Jobs (list and expanded view), Job Details, and Work & Delivery (in both Standard and Codyt projects) now consistently say "Open editor", or "Open editor, all documents" for links that open every document of a job, instead of the previous "Conduct work" and "View work" wording. The supplier-facing instructional hint on in-progress jobs has been updated to match. No behavior, permissions, or URLs changed.

Jobs, Translators, Project Managers - WM-25195

The Access Rights configuration page now renders in your UI language instead of English only, and every permission has a clearer description with clickable inline links to the rights it depends on, so you can spot dependencies at a glance. A small set of permission names was also renamed to better match what they actually do. Permission behavior and existing profile setups are unchanged.

Access-Rights, Administrators - WM-25233

Fix Enforce UI Edit Rules on the API v2 PUT Invoice Endpoint

The API v2 endpoint PUT /api/invoices/items/{id} now enforces the same per-invoice editing rules as the UI, closing a gap where API callers could make changes the UI would refuse. After this fix the API rejects edits to aggregation child invoices (which silently corrupted aggregated totals), edits to approved invoices by users without access right R443 (Can see invoices prior to approval) enabled, edits made under limited or external user contexts, and edits where the user lacks project or job-level rights. This is a backward-incompatible change for API consumers that relied on any of the bypassed checks. Callers now receive a "not authorized" error, and to modify a child of an aggregated invoice they must first delete the aggregation, edit the children, and re-aggregate. API v1 and UI behavior are unchanged.

API, Project Managers, Administrators - WM-25148

Fix Mark for Online Translation Now Works When Standard Project Workflows Start With a Source-Only Step

Standard projects whose workflow starts with a source-only step (for example, a source review before translation) can now have documents marked for online translation without errors. Previously, this action failed when word counting was enabled and displayed a misleading message about missing documents. Users no longer need to disable word counting as a workaround.

Jobs, Project Managers - WM-25111

Fix Fixed Recurring Failure When Re-Marking a Document for Online Translation

Documents that previously failed silently when marking for online translation now retry cleanly without needing to be renamed. Underlying rollback errors are now surfaced in diagnostics for monitoring.

wbt, Project Managers - WM-25106

Fix Word Count and Editor Now Respect Per-File Language Assignments

If you mark a file for only a subset of target languages, pretranslation and machine translation from the word count tab now skip the rest of the languages. The same applies to batch machine translation in the Editor. Out-of-scope language cells also become read-only in the Editor, so no one can accidentally create translations that would flow into your translation memories during consolidation.

Editor, wbt, Project Managers, Clients - WM-24344

Fix Retire Lingua Custodia Machine Translation Connector

The retired Lingua Custodia machine translation provider has been removed from Wordbee Translator. It is no longer available when adding MT systems, and related configuration pages, connector code, and stored provider configurations are cleaned up to prevent stale options and configuration-page crashes.

Administration, Administrators - WM-25123

Fix Translation Memory Consolidation Respects File Language Scope and Preserves Approval Status

Translation Memory consolidation now skips files that are not assigned to a target language, so out-of-scope segments no longer end up in the master Translation Memory. When the same source text exists in multiple files, the approval status and translation text always stay matched together, preventing entries that look approved but contain an unverified translation. The result is cleaner, more trustworthy Translation Memories and reduced machine translation and pretranslation costs from segments that were never meant to be exported.

Memory Consolidation, Project Managers, Clients - WM-24117

Fix Workflow Steps Now Auto-Start When Auto-Consolidate Is Enabled

With the option to automatically consolidate translations to the master memory upon workflow completion turned on, dependent workflow jobs stopped starting automatically after the second step, forcing project managers to advance them by hand. This fix restores the expected behavior, so workflow steps progress automatically end to end whether or not auto-consolidate is turned on. The fix applies to both Standard and Codyt projects.

Workflows, Project Managers - WM-25403

Fix Quality Assurance Popup Now Reflects Only the Latest Run When Skipping Green Segments

In the editor, when you re-run QA with "Skip segments with green status" enabled, the QA popup now shows only the issues found by that run. Previously, the popup could still list issues from a previous run even when no new issues were found, making the skip-green option appear to have no effect. QA issues already shown on individual segments remain visible until you click "Clear issues".

Editor, Translators, Project Managers - WM-25162

Fix Inline Placeholders Preserved at Segment Boundaries in the XML+HTML Parser

Collapsed inline placeholders, such as protected term wrappers, are now preserved at the start and end of segments when the XML+HTML filter keeps inline tags. Existing TM matches against re-imported files may need to be refreshed because boundary placeholders now appear in extracted text.

Parsers, Translators, Project Managers - WM-25134

Fix Independent Language Workflows No Longer Blocked by Pivot Translation in Standard Projects

In Standard projects that combine a pivot language workflow with a different, direct workflow for one or more target languages, the revision job of the direct-workflow language was incorrectly waiting for the pivot translation to finish before it could start. Independent language tracks now run exactly as configured, without unnecessary cross-language dependencies. Project managers no longer need to manually adjust job dependencies after job creation.

Job Management, Translators, Project Managers - WM-24948

Fix Fix Autopropagation Skipping Repeated Segments With Leading or Trailing Whitespace

Autopropagation now correctly copies a translation to all identical repeated segments even when the source text has leading or trailing whitespace, such as Word document footers with field codes like "Page X of Y". Previously, those repetitions were silently left untranslated because the search trimmed the whitespace while the indexed value kept it, so no exact match was found. The fix takes effect immediately in the Editor for new autopropagation actions on existing data, and has no impact on segments that already worked or on Find & Replace, TM lookups, and repetition detection.
