Releases 2026-10

This page shows items released so far this month.

Monday, October 26, 2026 - Version 2026.4.6.0  Azure-EU   Azure-US   Switzerland

In dark mode, pop-up menus now open right next to the link or arrow you click, as they do in light mode. This includes the actions menu on job rows, My searches on list pages such as Orders and Projects, and the delete menu when you edit a quote or invoice. This fixes a side effect of our recent upgrade to the latest version of the UI components behind many of our screens.

Client Orders, Project Managers, Clients, Administrators - WM-28681

Fix Downloading Files No Longer Opens an Empty Window

Double-clicking a file to download it, for example in the Documents section of an order or in a job's reference material, no longer opens an empty window on top of the page. The file now downloads directly. This fixes a side effect of our recent upgrade to the latest version of the UI components behind many of our screens. Word, Excel, and zip files were not affected.

Client Orders, Translators, Project Managers, Clients, Freelancers - WM-28682

Fix Tags Stay Intact When You Drag or Insert Them in Editor v2

In Editor v2, tags now stay whole when you drag them within a segment or add them with Add missing tags, so your translations keep complete tags in the right place. A dragged tag lands exactly where you drop it, and a tag dragged from the source arrives as a tag rather than plain text. Moving a tag within a segment is now a single step you can undo. As before, you cannot drop a tag onto another tag. If a segment you worked on earlier still shows a tag problem, contact our Support team and we will help you correct it.

Wednesday, October 21, 2026 - Version 2026.4.5.0  Azure-EU   Azure-US   Switzerland

Improved Security Update for the Wordbee Translator Interface

Wordbee Translator now runs on the latest version of the UI components behind many of its screens. This upgrade brings stronger security and long-term vendor support. Tables, filters, menus, popups, file uploads, and dark mode all work as before, so you can keep working without changing how you do things. You may notice small visual differences in some controls.

Editor, Administrators - WM-24555

Fix Editor v2 no longer saves invisible characters as tags

In Editor v2, when a segment containing certain invisible characters was edited and saved, such a character could be stored as an incomplete tag. For some users, this caused problems with pre-translation, word counting, QA checks and generating deliverables. This is now fixed: Editor v2 keeps invisible characters exactly as they are when you save, and only real tags are saved as tags. When you copy text from Editor v2 into other applications, you now get the full text without hidden characters, and copying between segments keeps the tags each segment can use. Tags look and work as before. Translations saved before this update are not changed automatically: if a segment still shows a tag problem, contact our Support team and we will help you correct it.

Wednesday, October 14, 2026 - Version 2026.4.4.0  Azure-EU   Azure-US   Switzerland

New Account Details and Version Now in the Editor v2 Avatar Menu

You can now check which account you are using and which Wordbee version you are running without leaving the Editor. Click your avatar to see your name, email address, and version, plus a My account link that opens your account page in a new browser tab, so your work in the Editor stays untouched. Sign out works as before, and the ring around your avatar now appears only while the menu is open.

Editor, Translators - WM-27973

New Repetitions Filter in the Editor

In the Editor, the Filters panel now includes a Repetitions filter for each target language. You can hide repeated segments, show repetitions per document, or show repetitions across the project, including the first occurrence. A new icon in the segment grid marks the first occurrence of a repeated segment. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/filters-panel

Editor, Translators - WM-27133

New Add Terms and Segments to a Termbase or Memory While Translating

In the Editor, you can now add a term to a termbase or a segment to a translation memory without leaving your job. Use Add to TB/TM in the Edit menu or the toolbar. A small window opens over the grid, so you can keep selecting text while you fill it in, and the entry is saved in your job's source and target languages. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/adding-terms-and-segments-while-translating

Editor, Project Managers - WM-28073

New Edit Effort Analysis for Completed Jobs

When a job is completed, Wordbee can now produce a second word count that shows how much the translator changed the text they received. Unchanged sentences count as full matches and rewritten ones as no match, using your project's usual match categories. You can switch between the standard and edit effort analysis on the job word count screen. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/edit-effort-analysis

Jobs, Project Managers - WM-27445

New Limit SSO Profile Updates to Selected Companies

SSO settings can now include a list of companies whose users get their profile and company details updated from SSO at login. Users from other companies still sign in as usual, but their existing details stay unchanged. This complements the existing list of excluded companies. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/single-sign-on

SSO, Administrators - WM-27679

New Cherokee and Bassa (Liberia) Now Available as Languages

You can now enable Cherokee and Bassa (Liberia) in Settings > Translation Settings > Languages and use them as source or target languages. Both are off by default. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/supported-languages

Wordbee Website, Translators, Project Managers - WM-27724

New Secret Option for Standard Projects

You can now mark a Standard project as Secret, so only its assigned managers and administrators can find or open it, as on Codyt projects. The Secret setting also stays on for all projects until someone unticks it. Before, everyday actions such as assigning a manager or confirming an order could switch it off without notice. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/secret-projects

Projects, Translators, Project Managers - WM-28045

Improved Customize the Job Quick Toolbar in the Editor

In the Editor, you can now choose which tools appear on the quick toolbar while working in a job, and which go into the More tools menu. Go to Preferences > Toolbars and drag tools between the Toolbar and More tools lists to arrange them. The toolbar holds up to 15 tools. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/toolbars and https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/preferences

Editor, Project Managers - WM-27798

Improved Propagate Translations Setting Now Applies to Manual Propagation

In the Editor, the "Propagate translations" preference now applies when you propagate translations yourself from the Edit menu, the toolbar, or a shortcut, not only when you save. If you chose "Overwrite existing", manual propagation now also replaces different translations in repeated segments. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/propagating-translations-in-the-editor

Editor, Translators, Project Managers - WM-27796

Improved Automatic Reminders for Unanswered Job Proposals

In Standard projects, Wordbee can now automatically remind a supplier who has not accepted or declined a job proposal. Turn it on in the workflow template, on the tab now called "Job proposals", and choose a delay from 1 to 96 hours. The reminder is off by default, and the supplier receives it once, with a link to the job. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/workflow-template-automation-options

Email templates, Jobs, Notifications, Project Managers - WM-27732

Improved Easier Supplier and Worker Selection When Assigning Several Jobs

When you assign several Standard jobs at once with "Select supplier", you can now search the supplier company and worker lists, and choose a worker from your own company. Wordbee now matches jobs correctly with each supplier's services for the task and language pair. The same matching fix applies to the "Select supplier" mode for Codyt jobs. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/managing-standard-jobs

Jobs, Project Managers - WM-27418

Improved Not-to-Translate Rules in Word Count Profiles

Word count profiles now have a "Not to translate" section with two optional rules: protect segments that contain only formatting, or segments whose source text matches patterns you define. During a word count in Standard and Codyt projects, Wordbee copies the source into the empty target of matching segments, then confirms and locks them, so translators don't need to work on them. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/protect-segments-that-must-not-be-translated

Wordbee Website, Project Managers - WM-27590

Improved Work & Delivery Recognizes QA Checks Run Inside Jobs

In Standard and Codyt projects, the Work & Delivery tab now counts QA checks run inside a job, whether from the Editor, automatically when the job is completed, or as a required check. The status column, the "Translation checked" filter, and the exported check details now show the most recent check. Before, documents checked only inside a job appeared as not yet checked.

Project Management, QA, Project Managers - WM-27799

Improved Exact Search With Quotation Marks in the Memory Finder and Term Finder

In the Editor, you can now put quotation marks around your text in the Memory Finder or Term Finder to search for that exact word. For example, "constitution" no longer also returns "reconstitution". This works for that search only and does not change your selected search mode. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/memory-finder-panel

Editor, Translators - WM-27256

Improved See How Many Translations Differ in Consistency QA Issues

Issues from the Translations - Consistency QA check now show how many different translations a repeated sentence has, for example "4 different translations in 9 segments". In the Editor, an Apply filter button on the issue shows all those segments in the grid, so you can compare and correct them. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/qa-panel

Editor, Translators, Project Managers - WM-27954

Improved Run QA Directly From the QA Panel

In the Editor, the Run QA button in the QA panel now starts the check straight away, using the QA profile and settings already shown in the panel. You can follow the progress and cancel it, and the panel refreshes with the new issues when the check ends. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/qa-panel

Editor, Translators, Project Managers - WM-28051

Improved Clearer Messages When Setting a Final File Fails

When creating or uploading a final file fails, you now see a short message that explains what went wrong and what to do next. This applies to both editors.

Editor, Project Managers - WM-27931

Improved More Reliable Checks and Fixes for Formatting Tags

Formatting such as bold text, links, and placeholders is stored as tags around your translated words. The QA check and Quick QA now find misplaced tags more accurately and faster, so you can fix them before export instead of discovering them when the final file fails to build. Automatic fixes put formatting on the right words more often, never change your translated text, and leave the translation untouched and reported when a fix cannot be confirmed as safe. In QA profiles where "Check tag order" is off, tags can still change order, but tags nested differently from the source are now reported, because they prevent the file from being built. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/qa-categories and https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/quick-qa-check

Parsers, QA, Project Managers - WM-26957

Improved Filter the Webhook Calls Log by Trigger Event

In Settings > Activity > Webhook calls, a new Event column shows which event triggered each webhook call, and you can filter the log by event. Calls made to report that a request has finished appear as "API callback". For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/system-activity

Wordbee Website, Administrators - WM-27722

Improved Skip Confirmed Segments Option in Batch Actions

In the Editor, the Copy text, Memory translate, Pseudo-translate, Machine translate, and Find and replace batch actions now offer a "Skip confirmed segments" option, so approved translations stay untouched. The option is on by default for actions that fill in translations and off for Find and replace. Machine translate now also respects job-level statuses correctly. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/batch-actions-panel

Editor, Translators, Project Managers - WM-27903

Improved Batch Actions Reset the Confirmed Status When They Change the Text

When a batch action changes the text of a confirmed translation, its status now goes back to Neutral, just as it does when you edit the text by hand. This applies to Copy text, Memory translate, Pseudo-translate, Find and replace, Machine translate, and Quick QA check, in Standard and Codyt projects, in both editors and through the API. Reviewers can now spot changed wording that needs checking again. Confirmed counts can drop after a batch run, and the rule also covers translation memories, termbases, and the source language column. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/batch-actions-panel and https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/find-and-replace

Editor, Translators, Project Managers - WM-27933

Fix Add to TB/TM Named Consistently in the Quick Toolbar Settings

In Editor v2, the + tool's row in Preferences > Toolbars > Quick toolbar — jobs now reads "Add to TB/TM", matching its toolbar tooltip and its More tools (⋮) entry, instead of "Add segment".

Editor, Project Managers - WM-28307

Fix Whole-Project Word Counts Now Clear Stale First-Occurrence Flags

When you run a word count across your entire project (without the "Count new documents only" option), the system now correctly clears and rebuilds which segments are marked as first occurrences. Previously, segments that were no longer repeated could retain an outdated flag, causing them to appear incorrectly in the Editor v2 Repetitions filter. This fix ensures the repetition metadata stays accurate for consistency reviews and content filtering.

Word counting, Project Managers - WM-28196

Fix Order Form Keeps Uploaded Files When the Order Option Changes

Changing the option on the order form no longer removes the files you already uploaded. When you submit, the form flags any file or pasted text that the selected option does not accept with the usual "not supported" message, and it does not create the order until you correct it.

Orders, Project Managers, Clients - WM-27745

Fix Clearer Description for the "Can View User Names" Access Right

The description of the "Can view user names" access right now explains more accurately what is hidden. Names and company details are always hidden, but a short identifier, such as initials, can still appear in editors, comments, workflow messages, and reports.

Access-Rights, Project Managers, Administrators - WM-27744

Fix Final Files Created When a Workflow Condition Cancels Every Job

In Standard projects, when a workflow condition cancels every job because the translation memory already covers the content, Wordbee now creates the final file and delivers it to the order, as the workflow is set up to do. When a manager cancels all jobs manually, no file is created.

Workflows, Project Managers - WM-27433

Fix Correct Repetition Counts When Machine Translation Skips Repetitions

When the word count profile option "Do not machine translate identical repetitions" is on, the skipped copies now count as 100% matches or repetitions instead of No match. Analyses, quotes, and invoices now apply your repetition rates to these segments. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/default-word-count-settings

Word count, Project Managers - WM-27741

Fix Automatic Memory and Term Finder Lookups Always Use Similar Matching

In the Editor, the automatic Memory Finder and Term Finder lookups that run when you select a segment now always use Similar matching. Before, a Regex mode left over from an earlier search could make the lookup fail or show an empty panel. Searches you type yourself still use the mode you choose.

Editor, Project Managers - WM-27594

Fix XLIFF Files With Double Closing Brackets Now Load Correctly

Valid XLIFF and MXLIFF files that contain two closing square brackets in a row no longer fail when you mark them for online translation. If a file is damaged, the error message now explains the problem more clearly.

Parsers, Project Managers - WM-27720

Fix Memory Finder and Term Finder Find Regional Language Variants

In the Editor, the Memory Finder and Term Finder now find content stored under a regional variant of your job's language, such as English (United States) in an English job, in every search mode. Resources set to strict language variants still return only the exact language. For more information, see: https://help.wordbee.com/wbt/memory-finder-panel

Editor, Translators, Project Managers - WM-28047

Fix Jobs Created Again for Orders Without Files for Online Translation

In Standard projects, confirming an order with no files marked for online translation, such as an interpreting order, creates its jobs again. This had stopped working in a recent release.

Order Management, Clients - WM-27925

Fix File Names With Special Characters Stay Intact in Zip Downloads

File and folder names with Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, or accented characters, or symbols such as ® and ™, now keep their exact names in zip downloads. Before, these names could arrive changed, or the archive could look empty on Windows. File contents were never affected.

Codyt, Invoicing, Project Management, Translators, Project Managers, Clients - WM-27926

Fix Job Messages in the Editor Accept Any Text up to 2,000 Characters

In the Editor, job messages now send correctly when they contain punctuation such as ? or %, use any language, or reach the full 2,000 characters. Before, these messages could fail with a server error and be lost.

Editor, Project Managers - WM-27497

Fix File Browser Opens Correctly After a Restart

In Standard and Codyt projects, the file browser on the Documents tab no longer shows a trial notice or an error page when several people open it at the same time right after a platform restart. Your files and file operations were never affected.
