Wordbee AI is Wordbee's own machine translation connector. Instead of sending your text to a third-party engine, it runs one of the AI translation workflows configured for your platform. For every sentence, the workflow first pulls matching entries from your translation memory and your term base and passes them to the AI as reference, so the translation follows your existing wording and approved terminology.
AI workflows are licensed separately and are not part of your Wordbee Translator subscription. They must be enabled on your platform, with at least one translation workflow configured, before this connector can be used. If the Workflow list is empty, or you want to know what the AI workflows cover, talk to our sales team.
Setting up the connector
Follow these steps to set up Wordbee AI:

Create the MT profile using our configuration guide for MT Profiles, and choose Wordbee AI. No API key is needed, because the connection to your AI provider is part of your AI workflow setup rather than of the MT profile.

Set Choose plan to Enabled - full feature set.

Under Langflow Workflow Configuration, open Select Workflow... and choose the translation flow this MT profile runs. The list shows the workflows configured for your own platform, so what you see reflects the AI translation setup agreed with Wordbee. The field is required, and the MT profile cannot be saved without it.

Review the parameters the workflow exposes. Each workflow declares its own, so the fields shown depend on your selection, and each comes with a default. We recommend leaving the defaults as they are and adjusting only when you have a specific reason to.

Select Save.
If you are not sure which workflow an MT profile should use, ask your Wordbee contact. Translations produced by this connector are AI-generated, so review and validate them like any other machine translation output.
Languages
Wordbee AI has no fixed language list. Coverage comes from the AI model behind your workflow, so widely used languages are generally well served and less common ones vary. Test a new language pair on real content before relying on it in production.
Set specific language variants on your projects, such as en-US or fr-CA, rather than generic codes. The AI uses the target locale to decide conventions such as date and number formatting.
