When a translation memory is open in the Editor, you can add a new segment to it without leaving the grid.
Adding an Entry
Follow these steps to add a segment:

Open Add segment from the Edit menu, the + tool on the quick toolbar, or a keyboard shortcut.

Choose the Source language and enter the Source text.

Under Translations, fill in at least one translation.

Click Save.
Translations shows the languages currently displayed in the grid. To display the memory's other languages, click Show more languages. The fields are multiline, so Enter starts a new line rather than saving.
If an active filter would hide the new entry, a dialog opens. Clear filters shows and selects the new entry, and Close leaves your view as it is.
Add segment appears only when a translation memory is open in the Editor on its own. Inside a job, use Add to TB/TM instead: see Adding Terms and Segments While Translating. Which memories you can open depends on your resource access rights.
